Enkei Wheels – The Best Quality Wheels in the Industry

The Enkei RPF1 is one of the most demanded and popular wheels in the racing industry. In 1986 Enkei became actively involved in motorsports by supplying 3-piece wheels to the F1 team, Minardi. In 1995 Enkei became an official supplier for team McLaren, which took championships home in 1998 and 1999. This team won four consecutive championships from 1996 to 1999. In racing there are no compromises and the passion to maximize performance is never ending. Enkei’s involvement at the highest levels of competition enables engineers to apply their technology to the ultimate test.

The Enkei RPF1 wheels have been developed from Grand Prix experience and feature light weight with extreme strength combined for a street and circuit wheel of the highest quality. Enkei has also developed a new manufacturing process to produce the next generation aluminum wheels. The Most Advanced Technology (M.A.T) combines one-piece cast wheel technology with a rim forming technology called spinning process. Using this new technology of casting and rim forming by M.A.T process, the material property and strength of the wheels is improved drastically. Rim-Rolled technology shapes the rim to improve material elongation without sacrificing the wheels hardness.

Direct to the racetrack to the street, M.A.T. Technology features forged processes at a lower cost. Enkei also supplies enkei wheels to teams that race in the Japan GT Championship, Super Taikyu, Formula Drift, Time Attack/Super Lap Battle, World Rally, SCCA, and D1 Drift. Enkei RPF1 Wheel Features:

1. Mat Process: Shaping by the MAT process reduces wheel weight by 10%-15%. Every pound of unsprung weight savings has the effect of reducing overall vehicle weight by 20lbs.

2. F1 Replica: Enkei is an official supplier of the McLaren Mercedes Formula One Team. The RPF1 was developed using the same technology as the Formula One race wheel.

3. Twin Spokes: Enkei’s dual open stance spoke design is used on the McLaren Mercedes Formula One race wheel. The twin spokes achieve better stress dispersion on curves, hard braking, and extreme race driving.

4. Centre Design: Enkei’s pocket design on the bolt a circle increases rigidity and keeps the wheel cooler during aggressive race driving.

Enkei established its own test standard called “Spec-E,” which is tougher than JWL requirements. Enkei’s Spec-E test setting requires a higher drop point in the impact test and 20% more cycles for the rotary bending fatigue and dynamic radial fatigue tests than JWL standards. The Spec-E represents Enkei’s confidence in its technology and quality of Enkei wheels.
